AFTER a rousing night in Evenjobb last Friday, sea shanty favourites The Press Gangers are dropping anchor in New Radnor for their next musical adventure.
Based in the “small port” of Presteigne on the east coast of Radnorshire, this lively band of singers is well known for their hearty harmonies, good humour and tireless fundraising for Lifeboats and the Welsh Air Ambulance.

Fresh from recent gigs in Hereford and Newtown, The Press Gangers will be performing at New Radnor Community Hall on Saturday 1st November at 7.30pm, joining forces with their friends from the Presteigne Pop Choir for an evening of music, laughter and local goodwill.
Proceeds from the event will go towards St Michael’s Hospice and the Lifeboats.
And it’s shaping up to be a full community evening – the Radnor Arms will be hosting wood-fired pizza from 4pm by M&S Pizza, so concertgoers can enjoy delicious pizza and a pint of real ale before the show.
Tickets are available from Salty Dog, ESCOs, or online at trybooking.com.
So if you missed The Press Gangers in Evenjobb – or just fancy another chance to join in a chorus or two – come along and help raise funds for some brilliant causes while supporting local live music.
