FOLKS in New Radnor, the surrounding areas and as far away as Australia came together in 2024 to purchased the Radnor Arms.

The newly community-owned pub is situated in the picturesque Welsh border town of New Radnor, just six miles from the old county town of Presteigne, Wales.

Through a success share offer campaign, the community raised enough funds to purchase the pub from the intrim-owner in 2024, and shortly after a newly selected committee was voted in by shareholders.

Since the community take over, the pub has gone through drastic interior renovations and added accessible community toilets for pub and public use, even when the pub is closed.

Now operating a successful wet bar with snacks, the pub is about to celebrate it's one year of community ownership as of Saturday 26th July 2025.

As the project begins to enter phase 4 of the renovations, locals continue to enjoy their own local again.
