THERE'S reason to raise a glass here in the Radnor Arms as one of our biggest supporters, Hobsons Brewery, has just scooped a major award at the SIBA Midlands Independent Beer Awards 2025.
Their much-loved Hobsons Pale was crowned Cask Session Pale Ale Champion, triumphing over a competitive field of top-quality brews from across the region.

The win is especially meaningful for us at the Radnor Arms, where Hobsons have been with us from day one.
Since our reopening as a community-owned pub in 2024, Hobsons has supplied our bar with their distinctive, high-quality beers — always brewed with care, character, and a strong sense of local pride.
Brewed with all-British ingredients, including Maris Otter malt, Hobsons Pale (4%) offers the perfect balance of light malt sweetness and delicate floral, citrus notes — a refreshing pint that has quickly become a favourite among our regulars.
Hobsons’ recognition in Nottingham this October is more than just a win for the brewery; it’s a reminder of the quality and integrity that independent brewers bring to our pubs and communities.
As a brewery rooted in sustainability and local values, Hobsons’ ongoing support for pubs like ours helps keep real ale — and real community — alive.
From all of us at the Radnor Arms, a huge congratulations to the Hobsons team for their well-deserved success. We’re proud to serve their award-winning beer and raise a glass to their continued partnership.
Cheers to Hobsons, to local pubs, and to everyone who makes community ownership possible!
