THE Radnor Arms is holding a volunteering drop-in during November, and everyone is warmly invited to come along and find out more about getting involved.
As a Community Pub, volunteers are truly at the heart of what makes the Radnor special. Whether it’s pulling pints, joining a committee subgroup, helping with events, wielding a mop, or simply chatting to visitors, every contribution makes a real difference.
Volunteering doesn’t just benefit the community, it’s good for you too. Studies show that giving your time can make you feel happier, healthier and more connected. It’s a great way to learn new skills, gain valuable experience, and even feel like you have more time in your day.
Volunteering helps build empathy, strengthens social bonds, and boosts wellbeing, all while helping to make our local community a better place for everyone.
The pub is currently looking for volunteers to help with:
Hosting or supporting daytime community groups
Working behind the bar
Cleaning or building maintenance
Joining sub-groups such as marketing, events or bar operations
Training and support are provided for all roles, and volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn new skills, and be part of a friendly, welcoming team.
So why not pop in, have a chat with some of the existing volunteers, and see how you and the Radnor can both benefit from getting involved?
Sunday 9 November, 4pm–6pm at the Radnor Arms
