THE community-owned free house situated in New Radnor, Presteigne, has released its winter opening hours, ensuring that residents have a welcoming place to gather during the darker months.
The Radnor Arms is preparing to welcome locals to a warm space with friendly faces and a renewed commitment to serving the community.
From this week onwards, the pub will open its doors on Fridays and Saturdays from 5.00pm to 10.30pm, offering an ideal spot to unwind at the end of the week. Sundays will see a shorter but cosy session from 3.00pm to 6.00pm.
The Radnor Arms team said: "We're looking forward to welcoming locals this winter, and cannot wait for people to experience the newly refurbished back bar, which is due to be open around Christmas."
The pub will remain closed Monday to Thursday (except for specific planned events), allowing the volunteer team to focus on upkeep, planning events and ensuring that weekends at the Radnor Arms remain lively and well-supported.

The committee and its subgroups have organised a range of events that local people can get involved with in the month of December.
Releasing their monthly events calendar for December, it included events such as Deaf Awareness, the sessions includes a free RNID talk on hearing loss, but also explores information on deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus, details on services, support, hearing aids and technology, communication tips, a free hearing check (not a full audiology test), and an overview of RNID’s work and services. The event takes place on Thursday, 11th December, between 1pm - 3pm.
Family and friends game night, the first games night was a fantastic success, and the team cannot wait to host the second games night of the year on Tuesday, 16th December, between 6:30pm - 9:00pm.
On Christmas Day, the Radnor Arms will hand the keys to Nigel Pullen for one night only, as he returns to his former role of pulling pints behind the bar.

The pub will be open on Boxing Day also, welcoming locals and greeting them with mulled wine and mince pies, do not miss it!
And finally, the pub will be once again celebrating the New Year, opening for all who wish to welcome in 2026 together with other members of the community.
